worship and guests

This was another worship day. We were on time since we had adjusted our clocks. There were 51 worshiping with us and only 2 came in late. They had forgotten to adjust their clocks. We served Holy Communion and were blessed by the message. We had learned that one of the mainstays of the worship service has been admitted into the Harlingen Medical Center. We took Holy Communion to him there. We tried to connect with Don and Janice to meet with us for lunch but they didn’t seem interested. We came home and watched some of the Purdue/MSU game as we ate lunch. We walked to the hall and invited 2 couples for a drinking party on the 26th when our NC visitors are here. We also invited a couple to come for a bit of wine at 5 today. We wanted our next door neighbors to come too, but they were busy too. We prepared the porch for visitors, and they came at 5. We had a good time with them. They are from Winnipeg and have been here for more than 15 years. They stayed until 7. While I was sitting on the porch on one of our old green plastic chairs when both arms broke. When they left, I took it to the dumpster. Evelyn watched on of the DVDs used in the Bible study she had missed last week. I began looking at next week’s message. Oh, yes: I have finally posted all the entries from our long trip. It is on the blog for all to read.
