Walking all day long

We were up early to join some members from the churches in Mercedes. We walked about 3 miles and donated some money. We returned to Weslaco to mail the disc of our pictures to Tom and Luann. We came home for lunch after getting some gasoline which was $1.699 at the Shell station. We ate light and walked around the park for a while. We talked to Stacy quite a long time, learning about Peter’s upcoming trip to snorkeling in Florida. We tried to invite some friends for a beer, but they had other plans. We did get a call from another friend inviting us to their house for a beer. Their 3 granddaughters and their son are visiting them. We enjoyed meeting them. We returned for our supper, after which I finished up the message and service for tomorrow while Evelyn continued working on sewing quilt squares for a pillow she is making. I also tried to contact a couple to invite them to worship with us tomorrow morning. They are Lutheran and might want to take Communion using consecrated elements. I couldn't catch them at home.
