I was up at 7 expecting Evelyn to take me to meet Phil. She stayed in bed and I drove to meet him after breakfast. It was very misty at first and the fog was quite still but light. We played the round of 9 holes before stopping around 10. It didn’t get any less humid as we played, and I was ready for a shower. When I arrived, however, I decided to apply sealer to Doris’ porch. I did that and talked with her son who stopped by. I then brought her sponge over and applied some to our new steps. Then I showered while Evelyn heated the lunch. She had been working all morning in preparation of tonight’s meal: smoked loin, sweet potatoes, broccoli, spinach salad and peach dessert. We waited for Tom and Janet who arrived just as I had to leave for my appointment with Dr. Lafata. I left them with Evelyn and left. I found my blood pressure is elevated a bit and need a different medicine. I also learned that I have bursitis in my hips. I will get an X-ray next week for confirmation. He thinks that the pain in my leg might be referred pain from my hips. He suggested getting an injection of something in the hip. I will have to think long and hard about that. I returned home, and we had a light hors doerves and then dinner. To help settle it, we went to the lake and walked a bit. Evelyn went farthest because Janet can’t walk very far. We returned home and watched much of the DVD about our Argentina trip before going to bed.
