An early vote
Monday, after walking and exercising, we attended the weekly park meeting. I talked about the new Bible study beginning tomorrow. We returned home for steel cut oatmeal and a shower. I had been too busy before the meeting to shower. I continued to work on the Sunday service while Evelyn did some ironing. After lunch we rested and continued on the project. I also called our friend Fanny in Morden, MB. She couldn't come this winter because she couldn't get out of the country insurance. We decided to go to the early voting site this afternoon. We finally found it and voted as best we could. We had looked at a voter's guide from a Christian organization so we had some idea of how to vote. Almost everyone in this area is Democrat and the Republican booth was open booth was open. The neighbors across the street invited us to their house for dinner. She made spaghetti and meat balls and a peas salad different from any we had ever had. Nothing was particularly outstanding, but we really appreciate her efforts because she has had heart problems and caratid artery cleaning since the first of the year. We came home and went over tomorrow's Bible study on "How we got the Bible". The first lesson is short but challenging.
