Another "blood Sacrifice"
We got up and got ready to go to the CFS brunch at 10:00 before the game. It was a beautiful morning, and we had a pleasant walk to the site. We enjoyed eggstrata and sausage links. We happened to get there at the same time as Mick and Elle Keppler. We had a nice chat with them and went to the game at noon. The game was a tragedy in the first half and better in the second half even though Purdue eventually lost. Evelyn left at the half when the score was 28-9 Northwestern. I wanted to see how things might develop during the second half so I stayed. I thought things were looking up so I followed the ball all around the stadium. Purdue actually took the lead once but lost it. I really enjoyed seeing the game from many different angles. I walked the mile and a half back to the coach where we had beer, cheese dip, tacos and cake. I had invited Lydia Edge but didn’t really expect her. She didn’t show up. Perhaps she was still in Texas. We plan to attend church and the chili lunch tomorrow so perhaps she will be there then. I walked the half mile to the airport to get the Jeep and bring it back to where we park the RV. We will drive it and the coach to church tomorrow and then begin our trip back to NC.
