Friends, food and fun

We got up and decided to wait for their arrival to do our walking. Carrie said they would call when they got to the area. I went around to the neighbors issuing Cypress Meadows directories to everyone. Evelyn decided that today was a good day to cut my hair so she did. I then began to work on mounting a hook on which to hang the hair umbrella I wear to keep hair off my clothes. As I was in the storage area gathering hooks, Bob and Carrie drove into the driveway. I had not showered yet, but we sat in the living room and visited for a while. Evelyn began to heat the crawfish etouffee and bake the razzleberry pie she had planned. I went off to shower and shave. I returned to help set the table with the good china and silverware. We enjoyed the excellent lunch, and Bob helped me fix the problem with the motor home compartment door. Evelyn and Carrie went for a walk up the mountain behind us. We all finished and decided to go to walk around Lake Junaluska. Carrie and Bob love to walk and love roses. There is plenty of both around the lake. We went to the Terrace Motel and I learned that the young man from Purdue does not want the tickets. We returned home and had a light dinner of tortilla soup. It was delicious. We watched a bit of the baseball playoff game, and they went to bed. I stayed up and watched “Lost” again. It wasn’t quite as silly as it has been lately.
