Out to the ballgame
Thank God for the first good night’s sleep since the surgery. When Evelyn went to bed, her stomach hurt a bit but did not bother her during the night. She felt better when she arose than any morning since Monday morning. We ate breakfast and then went to enjoy our worship. Our entire family went and the kids even went forward for the children’s message. This was a great blessing for me. We talked to various people about helping with the dedication dinner we are in charge of next Sunday and then went to the Garlic Knots for Sunday dinner. We had 2 for 1 coupons for spaghetti dinners. They were very good and we brought one home. We all rested in the afternoon and then Tom, Peter and I went to Asheville for the Tourists game. It had a lot of offense but many errors. The home team lost. We stayed for the fireworks following the game. They were very different in that the explosives were sometimes fanned across the sky. Others had one explosion of regular size followed by finer explosions. It was very good. I stopped for gas on the way home and we were in bed by 12:15.
