On the road again

I wakened before the alarm and was ready to dress before it did. Evelyn got up, and we had breakfast to use more of our food. We took the last minute items out including food from the refrigerator. We got it pretty well cleaned out. Doris came over offering biscuits and ham but we were full. We were on the road around 8. I had gone to the truck stop to check the air in the tires on the trailer but the air compressor was malfunctioning. I did get to check them later in the day and learned they were lower than was good for them to be. They are fine now. We drove our usual route, 25E, and stopped at the KFC “shrine” in Corbin so Evelyn could have lunch. I ate a sandwich I had not eaten Monday at the golf course. We were on the road and in the Econo Lodge in Erlanger where we stayed by 4:30. We used a coupon from a rest area booklet that offered a reduced price. The room was acceptable but not as nice as the Comfort Inn across the street. We came back to the room after taking a walk across the street. We heated the bratwurst and sauerbraten we had brought for our supper. I had also brought what was left of a half gallon of ice cream which we drank because it was melted. It was just as good. We have a cooler with ice that keeps things from spoiling. We just laid around the motel room and watched the second game of the World Series. We will go to the Creation Museum tomorrow.
