cool rainy weather

We loved our beautiful worship and Holy Communion this morning. We sang with the choir “Make Me a Servant, Lord” and did well. Our friend brought more asparagus and we bought some. We came home and ate our lunch. I ran the vacuum and watched the Cubs play while Evelyn cleaned the kitchen and read. We left for the Folkmoot Center and had a small dish of ice cream. We also got some more brochures and bought tickets for the gala July 22. We then walked around the lake before going to Maggie Valley for the monthly band concert. It was comprised of favorites as voted by last year’s audiences. We enjoyed the selections. The band is made up of older people who enjoyed their high school band days. They all seem to love being in this band even though they play only once each month. We came home for popcorn. Evelyn had invited 2 women for dessert that she had made. It is a rhubarb crunch and is delicious. I had to go to bed because I am to play golf at 7:40 in the morning if doesn’t rain. We talked with Emily and made some plans for their visit on the 4th of July weekend.
