The first summer ME spiral

We slept a bit late because Evelyn had not slept well again. I suggested we walk before we cleaned up, so we did. We thought it would be cold but were wrong. We were overdressed by the time we were half way around. We stopped and talked with Mickey and Frances Monteith for a while. We then continued home. We had lunch and then rested. I did contact hotels in NYC where we might stay if we take the cruise in the fall. I finally got some good ideas. The hotels were close to the pier and the Penn Station where Amtrak drops people off. I couldn’t make reservations this far in advance but will try again in August. Phil Bollinger brought some rhubarb for us and I chopped it for later use. We arrived at the home of the spiral for this month. We had some wine and appetizers before our 10/10 or sharing. We had a good conversation about prayer. The sharing was followed by a meal of gumbo, going along with the boudin we had brought for the appetizer. We left and went to the grocery for some supplies we needed for tomorrow. Evelyn cleaned the strawberries before going to bed. The next spiral will be June 5 but I am not sure we will be available.
