plans for next week

Sunday we slept late again. I learned that Evelyn had been up again last night. I hope she can tonight. Holy Communion was again an extreme blessing. The message was not delivered especially well again. The pastor must not practice reading the Scripture because he makes mistakes that cloud the meaning. I pray that I do a better job. We talked with many people that we have known in seasons before. We always enjoy re connecting with them. We came home and had hamburgers left from a few days before. They were very good. I called the Waters from Rio Hondo and invited them and the Hamels for dinner next Sunday. We then both rested before pulling some weeds out of our small garden area and around some amaryllis plants. We put the weeds on a tarp like we did with the leaves in the fall in Indiana. We pulled them to the front of our unit for pick up tomorrow morning. We went to the hall where I served ice cream again. There were only 38 people last week and even fewer this week. Last year this was a big event. We came home and I made popcorn for the first time in several weeks. It was certainly good. We watched a documentary about Andrew Jackson and were confirmed in our opinion as to how vile a man he was. One of the historians called him a criminal. Some of his actions were good but more were dastardly. We just went to bed early.
