looking for water
We were up walking/exercising at 7. Evelyn had slept through the night for a change. She had been awake 32 hours aside from yesterday’s hour nap. We went to the park meeting and then came home. Several men were digging in our yard looking for our main water shut off valve. No one can seem to find it. I tried to contact the previous owner but learned he is in the hospital. Perhaps he can tell us where the valve might be. We had breakfast and then I found 2 couples to use the tickets I won this morning to the Killer Bees playoff game. I just happened to call in as the 2nd caller and won a “family 4 pack” for tonight’s game. We couldn’t go because we had plans for dinner and cards with the Bauknechts. We rested in the afternoon after I worked a bit on the sermon. We were having chips and salsa by 4:30 and dinner by 6. All people are trying to eat everything from their freezers and refrigerators. We will be here a bit longer than many in the nearby parks. We always have great meals prepared by Alice. We played Hand and Foot afterward as usual, but the women won this time. We were home shortly after 10 and were in bed after Jay Leno’s “Headlines”. Some of the headlines people send in are very funny.
