Hot, Hot, Hot!

We were exercising as usual. The guests were up and dressed by 9:30. Evelyn had planned to take them to several places around town. They went off to lunch also after picking up another winter Texan that attends Immanuel. I rode my bike to the hospital, carrying a copy of Pieder’s manuscript to mail. I couldn’t mail it at the park nor the hospital so I had to ride on to the Ship and More on 6th. I had just missed the postman but saw him nearby and took the package to him because the postage had been prepaid. I rode back to the hospital and sweated for almost an hour after being in the air conditioning. Did I mention that the high temperature was 101? I made a couple of plans for next week and a rescheduled appointment to have our vascular screening. We had forgotten our first appointment. I returned home at 5 to find everyone asleep. When they arose, we decided to go to the Remington House for dinner. Frieda and Doris wanted to take us out for having them visit. I used a 25% off coupon to save them money. I shared my meal, an appetizer of nachos deluxe, and then Evelyn and I shared a type of fajita that was delicious. We had been unable to find any activity we were interested in so we just came home and watched a bit of the NCAA tournament before retiring. We plan to go to Mexico tomorrow, and, praise God, it is supposed to be in the 70s. It would be impossible to go if it were 101 again.
